OK, I have experienced over 13" of snow in May. That was in about 2012. Within a few days it all melted. As of now, have Storm Warning for at least 16" of snow! Already had about 3" of liquid precipitation here, which includes at least 1.75" of rain and the current 5" of snow. Winds gusting to 30+ MPH! Wind directions are from the N, E, and W. Storm predicted to last through Sunday night with more snow and wind. I was only predicted to get about 3" of snow overnight. The heavier snow is yet to come. At this rate I will have over 20" of snow, followed by maximum high temps in the low 40's through Friday. I have never experienced this great of a storm before. No plowing capabilities right now and no one to plow me out. Still injured, so cannot even shovel. Will throw a few bales of hay to the horses today, before the barn doors become blocked with snow, preventing me from opening them. The snow slides off the metal barn roof and blocks the doors. Let alone me walking the 200' from house to barn. The horses only have the huge, auxiliary shelter right now, as barn flooded. About 2" of ice on a good portion of floor in stalls and aisle. At least the shelter has places they can escape from the wind. Water tanks are working fine with heaters and I filled both yesterday. The wind is also causing my North facing patio doors to creak and snap. That has never happened before. The wind is now blowing in house on some edges of the slider portion. Even the wall next to the doors is creaking. At least I have heat, as long as the electricity stays on.
I cannot wait for spring to finally arrive here. Someplace like Sedona AZ, sounds great about right now. I loved that area when living in Chinle, AZ.

Thanks for the offer, but the 3 hour trip the way roads are now, might not work. My neighbor will be plowing. After all, it is Trivia weekend and my daughter and son in law are busy through their recovery day Monday. Then back to work.

LOL on the rain. Here lately, it has been lots of rain prior to the snow. Rain freezes before the snow.

Sounds like time to batten down the hatches. Just saw that I am on the edge of a predicted snowfall of up to 30", plus 1/4 to 1/2" ice. Wind gusts up to 45 MPH and here they are usually about 10 MPH higher than predicted. Already have a barn loft door that has blown partially off the bottom track. Dunno if my hatches are that strong.

Got over a foot here. 4 foot drift in front of the front door. Snowblower blew out the spark plug yesterday so I went to town for an insert. Gotta finish my drive then go help the inlaws. Plow piled the snow higher than the mailbox & they're stuck in.
Funny thing is I was in central Illinois Friday through Saturday and it was beautiful there. Didn't see any measurable snow til Oshkosh in the way home Saturday. Was supposed to ride the bike down there. Glad I took the truck instead 😵

Gah! Wretched weather! Snowstorms, yikes! We had lots of geese here for the past few weeks, Snow Geese and Canadas. A few days ago I saw the big flocks, giant V's one after the other... headed south! WTH!
It is pouring here, 37 degrees and getting windy... and this is an improvement over the snow and freezing rain we have been getting. Spring... Where T.H. are you?!
