Hi all I have a bunch of cabs that I've been babying along all spring. I finally decided to get busy and finish a few. Arizona Copper material from near Bisbee Cheetah jasper from Brazil. Not sure if I can call the white inclusions plume, but something different. Sonora Plume agate. Gold on blue... And what I'm calling Killer Mystery Plume. This is from the large rock I bought a Quartzsite that was from an unknown source somewhere in the southwest. Thanks for looking. More to come...

While they're all beautiful, the last one really blows my mind.
"An unknown source somewhere in the southwest" must be dealer-speak for "I know where, but I'm never-ever telling, 'cause I want to keep it all!"

Beautiful cabs, especially the Bisbee and the mystery plume.

While they're all beautiful, the last one really blows my mind. "An unknown source somewhere in the southwest" must be dealer-speak for "I know where, but I'm never-ever telling, 'cause I want to keep it all!" Usually I would agree, but in this case it was a solitary large rock (12-14 lbs) kind of out of place on a table with some unrelated other things. The lady in the stall said her father had collected it and she just wanted to sell it. I don't think anyone had noticed it was all plume. It was really cheap considering what was inside. I posted a picture of it in the Quartzsite thread looking to I.D. it, but no one could be sure.

Wow, you really can't tell from the side that it's as stunning as it is. Incredibly lucky! I have no clue, either, unfortunately. (I have no idea from one jasper or agate to the next, save for very few I sometimes guess correctly.)

I really love the copper mineral, beautiful range of color! So far, I've only found a small amount of material with this combination of colors. Lots of soft areas, too. When it is on the surface, the red cuprite is really soft but the blue agate it's in is nice and hard. The chrysocolla and malachite are in between. There's also occasional included chunks that seem to be turquoise. Wish there was more....

Beautiful cabs. It's good to see the material you bought a Quartzite turned into cabs. I'd love to see more as you finish them. Lynn

That was my first thought and got the most "votes", and there are a couple of different types of plume structures in the rock. some whispy filaments and others chunkier. Here's a slab that I also posted in that thread... Probably never know for sure but at least having some variety in the plumes I won't get bored with it...lol!
