No rocks on that sandspit on the Atlantic coast of Namibia, but it’s only about 370 miles southwest of the world-famous mineral mine at Tsumeb* and 900 miles due west of the aggie deposits around Bobonong and the Motloutse River in Botswana.
* Still findable @ youknowwhere w/324 mineral species & varietal names listed

jamesp You might have to clear a few more trees, James, to give your new drone some breathing room.

There are higher elevation fields that would make a good spot for visibility. The slopes are so steep it wouldn't take too far of a flight to see vista views. They left the old hemlocks standing, many are virgin tall trees standing twice the height of old oaks and poplars. They would be cool to take video of. Waterfalls and exposed naked granite bluffs another subject. The steep granite exposures probably the best subject.

And to imagine, some of us get our thrills from a nice load of tumble polished rocks!! You have to wonder how many of those "train-top" riders misjudge how much room they have, and stand up in the wrong place? Head biff, they become a grease spot along the tracks. Most likely, no loss to the gene pool...
