Late last fall,,I got a call.. Grab some buckets and lets go!!! A gentleman had a rock sale going on and he sold tons of material for a week, than the material that was left, had to go... All free, bring your own buckets.. It was chilly out and pouring down rain!!! What the heck, "ROAD TRIP"... So four of us take off to Sweet Home, from Dallas... I usually don't like doing this,(Grabbing free material), so I took a few cabs with me to give the guy.. We get there mid morning and its a "MAD HOUSE"!! To say the least, like "Black Friday", before xmas!!!! We get into the area and split up and start looking, OMG, this guy had been collecting rock since the mid 40's!! Rocks everywhere!! Why the sale we ask? Retirement home and the house and property sold, he has one week to get rid of everything or it all goes to the landfill!!! CRAZY!! He wasn't there, so he had four of his friends, running the rodeo (raining, mud and people)...Hahahaha I grabbed one of the people and said, here, give these (Cabs) to the older gentleman, for the rocks I'm about to grab.. She said that was very thoughtful and that he will love the cabs.. Most of the good material (worth anything) was gone, but still, if you looked hard enough, some was still there... I knew I was only going to get two buckets full and walk away happy.... So I took my time, looking and snooping thru buckets, barrels and piles... I came out happy, just as my friends did... I let the buckets set all fall and winter....Finally went through them this spring....Hahaha...It was fun...

You got some good stuff out of it and a road trip. Very thoughtful and kind of you to bring something with to give him. I imagine it was hard for him to give up what he loved doing

The key word there is "free" A free rock is a good rock. The kick is up and...SCORE
