I made these a few years ago, commercial settings but my cabs. What we call corn flake carnelian. Opps, should have use a deeper depth of field setting, the right ear ring is not really that blurry!!

Nice cornflakes! I agree with fernwood on the setting complimenting the stone, especially with the second pendant.

I found it in apile of rockss the wife bought at an estate sale, most likely from Oregon or Washington.

I agree, wonderfully presented (both in cabbing, setting and photographing). It coloring looks very much like the cornflake that used to come from around Lebanon, Oregon. Not sure if any of the miners are digging it any longer on the private land, but there are likely pieces in the creeks and rivers downstream. Still occasionally see pieces in older rock shops.

This was probably dug in the early 60's or so. Very well could be from around Lebanon for sure. I need to dig thru the rock pile and see if I can find some more of it.
