Here are a few more recent cabs, all from materials from Texas and Mexico. Texas first... Golden Plume from the Singleton Ranch. Plumes are very translucent and sparkly. Roadside collected orbicular jasper. I posted the slab some time ago. Thought it might be palm, but no... Another Rio Grande cobble. The picture does not do this justice. Rich caramel color with splotches of red. I reshot the picture several times, but my phone would not cooperate on the colors. And from Mexico... Another of those Cathedral agates with no plumes. Just moss but still pretty nice. From an old piece of Crazy lace And last, but not least, a Sonora Plume cab cut from the same stock as a darker one I shared in an earlier post. This one much more yellow gold with soft blue agate All for now. Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoyed.

You always get great stuff. I should simply copy and save a reply to you just to save me the typing.

Hmmmm, which one is my favorite? Hard to pick out of that batch, but I think I must go with the orbs. Second place is that Sonora Plume.
Thanks for sharing the eye candy!

Rockhounding and finding the rocks from places I can't seem to get to at shows is like treasure hunting for me. I think it's my addiction. I know I'll never have some materials but you gotta keep trying...

Ironically, I did not think it was that good when I first picked it up. The orbs are only about 2/3 of the way though the rock and I saw the other side. Of course, I turned it over and it got better. The yellow center was a complete surprise. I can't wait to get back to Texas and Webb County again. Soon!

Super-fine jewels you're showing here, Craig! Hard to pick a favorite, but I would eventually go for the Sonora plume - that's an unbelievable piece with the gold plumes in the sky-blue agate.
