Spent the day out at Madera Lapidary bugging Garrick. Got these 2 done 1st one I posted in the November FCC. 2nd one was the runner up Both from Walt who got them from ? The moss tested me. Really soft in some areas. The white plume in the one I thought was Montana is also really soft Also Garrick gave me a Geode that is unknown location. I'll upload picture of that in the ID thread

Nice job on both of those, Ali! Can't say I've ever seen a Montana with a plume in it.

Nice job on both of those, Ali! Can't say I've ever seen a Montana with a plume in it. It's got me baffled. Walt said it looks like a cross between a Montana and Graveyard and it really does.

Nice work. That first one is wild! It almost looks rutilated
As for the Montana— I’ve seen it do odd stuff. I have one that looks like it crossed with a Botswana.

The first cab reminds me of some Lucky Strike Thunder egg I've seen. More tube than moss. Great material!

Very nice! I always appreciate seeing the slab-to-cab progression.

Very nice Ali. Some Laguna has a very soft matrix mixed with mossy plumes in it some other stuff I have has quartz mixed in with it then runs in to the at gate and can be very hard to cab the stone gets smaller and smaller until all that sort crust is gone

Those are both very nice! Like the black dendrites mixed with the white plume.

I like that top one makes me think I am looking into a crystal ball. Very nice ali I would of loved to have this as a sphere It's so much better in person I have noticed the same thing when taking photos sometimes do not do a piece of work justice they don't look so good as in person. The one thing I do like about taking pictures is they do pick up fine scratches pretty quick. I have recently started double checking my cabs with loupe then picture if the picture shows imperfections I sand them out. This has only happened on two cabs the scratches were very hard to see with loupe but camera showed they were worse. 1 Laguna and a fire agate
