As Previously stated Earlier I Picked up two Late 60's Thumler & Lortone Tumblers in Excellent Shape With all Manuals Instructions and original Boxes. I thought I may as well give them their own corner of the shop and made a manual that explains the early beginnings of Modern Rock Tumbling and the Paint Can Tumbler along with the owners manuals that came with each tumbler. It made a nice display for these two pieces of history The thumler used to reside in Kentucky and the Lortone was from Three Rivers Mich near Kalamazoo. So here is the Video. Tell me what you think.

Very nice display. Like how you added some history to the equipment. Thank You. The Lortone being purchased from Gilmore Brothers alone has Quite a story in itself. Jim Gilmore a son of the two Gilmore Brothers was a Investor and Sponsor Of AJ Foyt Racing. I worked at his home as I worked in Kalamazoo for two years for a mechanical contractor early on in my career in HVAC Career from 1980 to 1982. Anyway the Gilmore Dept Store at one time was downtown Kalamazoo's Premier Dept Store. They later got into many businesses Including a Car Dealership and I bought a new Car from them. If anyone wants to Google Search The First Rock Tumbler you will surely find the Thumler and Lortone Tumblers. History you Say??? Yes that is Quite an Understatement. in many ways.

Love that you mentioned Jim and AJ. I was a huge supporter of CART and worked at Road America for many years. I was part of the team that ensured that all racing teams, media members and spectators had the best possible experience. Stationed in the media room, but left often to do other things. Did winners circle, transported drivers, etc. I was introduced to AJ by my close cousin, Tony B. I was saddened to learn of Jim's recent death. A true great in the world of racing.
