Some of the fossils or trace fossils found on my land. I love the fossils I have found and hope you enjoy looking at them. I have posted some of these individually before, but never as a group. Comments appreciated if I did not ID correctly or f you have questions. Thanks. All found at the location marked on my avatar. Favosite Coral. Favosite Coral Not sure if this is favosite or tabulate coral. 6 Some indications this is multiple corals. There are some places that look like chain coral. Other places appear to be horn coral which was replaced with crystals or not replaced with anything. lace coral 1a Reverse side of above. lace coral 4a Cool replacement coral. If one looks close there also appears to be snail poop. cor 3 Not sure what this one is, but appears to be some type of creature from the sea. b coral creature 1 Reverse of above. coral creature 5 Another of same. coral creature 1b Trace plant or water fossil? chert pattern 3 plant 1 Fossil sea bottom with possible trace sea worm critter fossils or their tracks. after clean 2 Another fossil sea bottom. mud 1a Trace fossil of some type of critter or plant. critter 1 A snail. 3-16-2 Some shells. I was amazed at the lack of fossilization with these. They are very hard, but original colors remained intact. shells 1a Algae? Has consistency of chalcedony. f1 More algae? This one is more delicate than the previous one. layers 3b Whole lot going on with this one. Several types of sea critters and poop. gray coral 1 gray coral 17 snail HS Crab

Please disregard the names. I named all of the photos originally with what they looked like. The areas that look like fossil poop could also be oolites.
Reread my post. If anyone wants to make general comments those are appreciated. Did not want anyone to misinterpret my original posting.
I am addicted to any type of fossils. Whether they can be transformed into cabs, tumbles, jewelry or not.

Very nice! I find it very interesting because I can compare it to the fossils around here. Likewise lots of coral, shells and sea-bed fossils. (But I'm sure you already saw the last post in my thread here.)

Oooh, fun stuff! The shells with the colors may be from the recent glaciation.

Amazing selection. Thanks for sharing them. There’s a bunch I like, but especially those that appear to be fossilized kelp.
