It is a Baculite...… My favorite fossil to hound and work with...

I usually cut them into two pieces to see what the chambers look like inside... Each Baculite and chamber is different, because they were a living creature at one time and lived in different locations, with different habits.. When they died, the elements and minerals that were in the soils, changed how they look when fossilized..
