Please read the initial posting below the updated photos.
Edited to add better photos.
These turned out a lot better than I thought. Amazing what a quick run in the dishwasher can do to remove soap film.
Used Cascade 3 part detergent pod and a Finish rinse.
When I held some of the larger ones up to the window, they were opaque. This was after the Ivory soap stage and a high pressure spray. Now they are very much translucent. A nice surprise.
Have some ideas for a candle holder with some of these incorporated into it.

Oh, these are just fne by me as they are, so no further polishing needed.
Original posting minus photos:
Lessons learned.
Apache Tears are harder to photograph on an Iphone SE than they are to tumble, lol.
Patience has many rewards.
Tears appreciated an equal volume amount of plastic tumbling pellets going on the ride with them. Stage specific.
Tears also appreciated double the recommended amount of AO 14,000 polish and less water than suggested. Ended up using paper towels to reduce the water volume.
Those that were more translucent had a higher level of polish than those who were more opaque. These were much thinner to begin with.
The Ivory Bar Soap shavings enhanced the shine, but was a pain to wash off.
These are now hanging out on top of my washing machine to dry. Considering putting them in a mesh bag and running a dishwasher cycle. They still have some soap film on them.
Near as I can figure, it will only take a couple more batches of Tears before I have enough to put in the Vibe for a really final polish, using Rapid Polish.
But, will try using the vibe for harder Mohs/easier rocks first. Have plenty of them in water filled containers waiting for their opportunity.
So, what do you think? This batch turned out much better than the previous one.
Thanks
