Yeah , I've been sluffin off . Had a bunch of ceramics that needed to be broken so figured I would give them a ride in the wiggl machine . Needed a bit of filler so tossed in a few beach , gravel pit , and river rocks . Ground out the major rough spots off on the 80 wheel and in they went . Crappy pics were taken in a hurry in the harsh mid afternoon sun . Some quartz and a couple small Lakers , Epidote with quartz , Some Jaspelites , more of the same , A few banded Jaspelites and some Hematite And some from last fall that needed and still need some touching up , Nothing drool worthy , but hey I was just breaking in some ceramics . Thanks for takin a look .

Loving the red jaspelite.
I didn't know you had to break in ceramics.

Nice rocks. Love the large jaspelites in the last photo.
I always tumble ceramics with so so stuff before using them with the good stuff. Mine are triangle shaped and have sharp edges.

Loving the red jaspelite. I didn't know you had to break in ceramics. The reds get kinda annoying after awhile , I get red focused when I find a few . Then it is difficult to find other nice rocks . I usually give ceramics a couple coarse runs in the vibe to round off any sharp edges before sending them into finer grit and polish stages . These I just ran from coarse through polish , figured I couldn't hurt these rocks .

Quite a few of them are in red & black stones and I know I've probably missed a ton because I'm too busy looking at those!

Have not found any large ones here. I'm thinking the speckled ones are tougher than the banders . Trying my darndest to pile up some good sized banders for someone , they are avoiding me . No problem with the speckles though , couple tons of those in the pile but a lot are too big for my saw .

Usually end up right back at hauling out buckets of red .

Nice job on the jasper/hematite Wigglin'. Often the hematite will undercut. Yours look fine. I always "break in" my ceramics as well.
Ever hear from Cliff? Miss that ol' turkeybutt.

Different flavors of hemarock around for sure , guess I'm pickin the good stuff . If mother nature hasn't undercut it I figure it is good for the tumbler . Yeah I hear from Cliff quite often but it has been awhile now , bout a week . Better give the old fart a call .
