I like mk 301 and 303 10" blades but wondering if there are any good alternatives in the 12" size. Quite the price difference vs 10" blades. Do I just bite the bullet and spend 130.00. Love my Lortone 12" Hope you're all doing well

I don't know anything about Lortone saws. I bought a Covington 16 combo and replaced the blade with a 14. I just added more oil. The smaller blade costs less and with the smaller diameter it has a smaller kerf and wastes less material. The question that maybe someone else can answer is can you use a 10" blade in your 12" saw? I was deciding whether to get a 10 inch or 12 inch saw. All I am interested in cutting is small rough.

Nope The lortones have an upper frame that sets into an oil tub so if you fill it more the tub will overflow.

Would there be enough oil to cover it?

Amazon had best prices on blades I've seen.

I wouldn't mind a 24", I've got an 18. I guess my issue is perceived value vs cost compared to the 10". Oh, well. I'll order one
