Altho not a Police Officer I ran the County Jail Maintenance Dept. at the Sheriffs dept. for 25 Years and had the honor and pleasure to work around many Deputies, Patrolman and all kinds of Law Enforcement and first res-ponders. I lost a friend Sunday night Kenny Ray he was a (Niles my Hometown) Reserve Sgt and a great guy. I Knew him first through his full time job at Rose Pest Control. Later he Joined the Niles Police Dept. I was up all night in the Lap Shop I couldn't sleep worried for the loss of my friend his accident was just blocks from my house. We are raising money tonight at Hacienda Restaurants for SHOP WITH A COP something my wife MaryJane has put together 20% of everyone's meal will go for Christmas Presents for less fortunate Children at Christmas. No doubt kenny and his wife would have been there supporting this cause. My wife and I are involved with the FOP and I cook 40 Lbs of Chicken Every Year at our local Apple Festival for all first re-ponders police, fireman, paramedics they do safety shows for children so me and MJ put on the feedbag. Anyway I am very saddened with the loss of my Friend RIP Brother Ken!

Sorry for your loss. When it's unexpected like that it's always shocking and harder to come to grips with.

Sorry for your loss. This kind of news always serves as a reminder to me to call a couple friends I haven't talked to in a while, none of us are forever.
