I am strictly a tumbler and I've been wondering if a flat lap or cab wheel(s) would make the tumbling process easier or more efficient? If so how and when do you use them? Currently I use a tile saw for preforming and touch up work and it works good but I'm open to ways of speeding things up. For now I don't see cabbing in my future so I'm only asking if they are of any use for tumbling only. Anyways all responses are welcome...Tks!

Here's a thread I started using diamond faceting disc's on a bench grinder........: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/83161/latest-endeavor-pics-learned-tricksThe process I started with has changed since then. I now use my two speed grinder and I no longer run a rotary rough stage......I no longer use a rotary at all. Just cut and shape with the tile saw, grind and shape with 60/90/100 grade diamond disc's and start the 120/220 stages thru polish in my bowl vibes. The results have been awesome and I'm saving many, many weeks of time. Depending on the stone type and amount (I average 5lb batches), from start to finish btw two to three weeks max.............!

Awesome! I did a quick scan of your link and it's the kind of info I'm looking for...never considered eliminating the rotaries but I'll go back to your link to absorb it all and let all you said sink in and go from there. Thanks for your feedback!
