Clouds brought in a little hail this evening... Someone played hard...wrecked the loveseat...then passed out in his favorite "relaxed" position! LOL

victor1941 Good looking flowers and fruit crop. What variety of apricot and peaches do you have? We have way too much humidity and critters for most fruit trees. The squirrel problem in my neighborhood is really bad. They are way over populated and will wipe out a fruit tree long before the crop is ready. I have counted 5 in my back yard at one time and that's just the ones I could see. Built some screen covers any for new seeds in the ground otherwise they would dig them all up. The hawks don't make much of a dent as the squirrels duck into bushes and thick foliage trees where hawks can't safely go. Our dog was pretty good at squirrel control until she got too old for the game. Henry

HankRocks, the peach is Florida Dawn and the apricot is either Katy or Imperial. Saturn and Red Baron also do well at my son's home 4 houses down the street. Florida Dawn is very early and makes great peach preserves. Katy is also early and makes good preserves. This apricot is more resistant to diseases than many others and usually has a few fruit each year. Plum curculio are also a real problem in this area. If you graft I will be glad to furnish you a stick of wood next winter for testing. Austin has also had high humidity and winds so any fruit you see has passed the elements test and should be ripe within 6 weeks.

Victor. At some point in time this used to be my favorite squirrel proof (30 Proof) peach variety.

Went out hounding for a few hours today, my daughter and her boyfriend joined us and brought their dogs. Also a couple pieces of wood that I liked...

Today's favorite rock - mook (dry & longest slab about 6" long) Edit: adding a photo of the preforms (wet). Will heat treat these in a few weeks along with some FL coral. Temp will get to 525 degrees.
