Robin and I got home today with additions to our rockpile. Here are the goods. No close-ups of the Leopardskin - y'all know what it looks like!
Here's the entire haul.
Two shots of the Boulder Opal
13+ lb Chrysocolla
45+ lb Hampton Butte Wood
7.7 lbs Imperial Jasper
5.7 lbs Moganite (AKA a couple of other names)
Two shots of Brecciated Pink Opal (from the Aussies)
6.8 lbs Arizona Shattuckite
7.5 lb Willow Creek
Yeah, by Saturday evening we were TIRED from hauling rocks to the car...!

A whole lot of beauties. What a huge chunk of Chrysocolla. It's all Tony's fault!
He had really great material and we appreciated (and bought) it. The chrysocolla, Moganite, Willow Creek and monster Hampton Butte all came from catmandewe.

We got to Q around 1:00 PM on Friday and hit the Pow-Wow just because it was on that side of the freeway. Picked up the Imperial, Boulder Opal, and the Arizona Shattuckite over there.
Saturday morning we parked at the eastern end of DG and made a beeline for the Idaho Rock Shop booth. We knew there would be good rough there, and we were obviously not disappointed. Over half of what we brought home came from there. So Tony is guilty as charged - he made this our best trip ever!

Awesome stuff! My bank account is so grateful I didn't go... It's definitely a place where you need some self control. We had a budget from proceeds from our show last August and were basically buying rough to slab and sell at our show this year. The idea is to sell enough to pay for our purchases and to fund our trip back next year.
We actually stayed pretty much to our budget and only went over by about $100. Not too bad, because there was a lot more we would have loved to buy.

All great picks but the boulder opal is yummy! The boulder is pretty awesome and I got a good deal on it. I figure I'll get 3 slabs out of it and I'll make my money back on the first cab I sell.
The Willow Creek is totally amazing and for some reason the picture on my monitor looks gray. It is actually a tealish color and the patterns are killer. I've never seen a piece of Willow Creek with that color.

You'll need to show me the cuts. I have a feeling they are gonna be amazing The more I see Willow creek the more I love it. The one I am really curios about is the Moganite

catmandewe is there any way you could post a picture of the Moganite cabs you cut? I'm really curious about that, too. The only pieces I've seen have looked a lot like gray agate, and I know its been detected in some opal-agate thundereggs. I'm curious to see whether any has patterns or interesting stuff inside!

That is some really beautiful WC. I had some in the past but it all has been cut. I look for it on ebay and Etsy and rarely see anything worth considering. People want to buy interesting cabs and anything less is a tough sell. I would love to go to Q, but it isn't practical for me.

These appear to have gray and clear agate, the blue (it may be opal -- I don't know) and some of the tan matrix in it. Looked pretty interesting and Tony had a couple of cabs he did of the material pasted on the sign by the buckets so folks could see what it looked like cut. I hope he'll post them here.
I will post pictures of the slabs when Vince slabs one of the pieces.

You could try contacting Tony through his website idahorockshop.com or his Facebook page (also idahorockshop) and see if he has something you might like.

I bought a bunch of Owyhee rough from Tony. He said he was going to handle the Q sales for the guy who has a WC mine. I haven't touched bases with him recently.
