Finally broke out the tumblers for the year.. Have three Lortones going now, plus four more Lortones to get going too... That should keep me on my toes..

I used rock salt and hot water in the barrels and kept them running all winter. Worked like a charm.

I think you need a huge commercial tumbler to handle all your rocks. All the best !

Good to here when others fire up their tumblers for the season . Had thoughts of getting my rollers started today . Decent weather though , better to go hunt up another year or 3 worth of rock .

Now it's up to six tumblers going now....LOL Got a few more in the shop and one on the way from Walterville,OR.. Rolling slabs and will see how that turns out..

I used rock salt and hot water in the barrels and kept them running all winter. Worked like a charm. I always shut them down in the winter months, because it gives me a break.. I don't want to get burned out with tumbling and yes I have seen it happen to some rockhounders..

I think you need a huge commercial tumbler to handle all your rocks. All the best ! I like the smaller equipment because it gives me options of doing different types of material at one time....
