Greetings All, I'm trying to earn enough to buy another tumbler, so I've decided to offer some of the rough I already have for sale. Mind you this is rough I purchased retail, not in bulk wholesale amounts, so I have to recoup my cost plus a bit more. At anyrate, I have two 5 lb bags each of blue aventurine and leopardskin jasper, ready for tumbling, for $25 per bag. If anyone is interested drop me a message. But if a month goes buy and I still have them then I'll be starting to tumble them myself Keep the barrels rolling! WilliamC

I would be interested in the blue adventurine. What approximate size are they? I am thinking of cabbing, and faceting. I like gems that are not clear. Drop me a line on my e-mail.

Greetings All,
I received a shipment of rocks yesterday, so I'll be bagging up 1 5lb load of flame agate and offering this for sale too, $25 plus shipping. There was some matrix associated with the flame agate, sort of a clay-like concrete junk that's definitely not the agate itself; it might have been 10 ot 15% by volume of the pieces. I've broken the rocks up and will high grade the load so there will be no pieces of this matrix, although some of the flame agate will have a crust of it covering part of the piece. I will make the load so as not to sell something that I personally would be unhappy to buy. So, one 5 lb bag of flame agate, $25, up for grabs.

I just recieved 5lbs of aventurine from WilliamC. I can recomend anything he has for offer. It came very securely packed, really decent. We have the sheetrockers from hell in the house finishing the half baked job the builders did. Seeing the condition, quality, and promptness made our day. In spite of sheetrock dust, noise, traumatic bengal cats, and really out there southern contractors. Our day was made by a promise completed. Some of the rough is facet grade! I trust his rough. Thanks Clif

Great site! I see WillC is bidding on the QT12; I'll wait for another It is good to see sales and trades from trusted folk. Doc, if your bengals are anything like mine, they will get soaked in their water dish and then make for a romp in the chalk...very bright leopards make for some ugly clean-up efforts...

Well I think that says it all about the contrast in human nature, on one hand we have the senseless act commited on Pdwights colleague and on the other we have Red who will not bid on Ebay for an item being bid on by Willc. Red, I take my hat off to you sir, you are a gentleman. And with Docs reccomendation of Willc's service I can honestly say I am proud to have the oppoutunity to learn from the foilks on this forum.
p.s. I have seen the Doc's Bengals ( well one of them ) and they are as stunning as his stones. Also Willc if you ever get to the UK bring some of your rough for me!

Greetings All, Much thanks for the kind words Doc, I'm glad you were pleased with the rocks. And to Red, if you want to bid on the QT12 please do, I know how much I'm willing to spend but I don't mind at all being outbid by someone willing to spend a little more, that's the nature of the free-market. And to Mr. Flake, if I ever get to Merry 'Ole England I'll definitely look you up, but so far my only trip to Europe has been a 5 day escape to Amsterdam ;D As to Docs cats, how big do they get when full-grown? Are the bengals just an exotic species of Felis domesticus or are they really a wild species? From the picture I saw the kitten has very lovely markings, but if they really are a wild-cat then Doc will definitely need some really big stones to handle her . Keep on tumbling! WilliamC

That Kitty is an African Serval. Born in captivity. He belongs to our neighbor at the flea market, and he is my adopted son. He will get to be about 80lbs when grown. The photo was taken when he was 10weeks and he is now 10 months. We spent today at the market and Kitty was loving me. I am so grateful he is not a full time house guest. Our bengal cats are a domestic breed. These we have are half bobcat, half F1 bengals. They do not meow like domestic cats, they squeak like exotics. Yes, they are water cats and they like to help my wife take a bath. We have to leave the water on so they can play in it. They are also food watchers, and tumbler watchers. The male is about one year and about 20lbs, the female is smaller and looks like a bobcat with a very long tail. We are known to our suppliers as Cat Scattered Jewelery. When we work on our craft, they steal gems and hide them. We are seriously thinking of breeding the male Kitty with the female Muffy. This will produce a Savannah. It is an hybrid which only gets to 40lbs. We call our bengals the flying wolindas. When we go to the shop they go through speration anxiety and tear the house up running sideways along the couch and walls scattering jewelery, bouncing off walls and just wailing. When we come home they sniff us and turn their backs on us untill later tonite. Bengal cats are the best breed I have ever had, the easiest to maintain, the most entertaining, and their fur does not seem to activate allergic reaction with folks who are allergic. Kitty just curls up with his paws around my neck, purrs and licks my face untill he sleeps. He is a gem also but he is big and attracts too much attention. When he is in our shop people stay away so something had to change. I would rather they stay away and it is just Kitty and I but economics dictate otherwise. He is usually four feet away during business hours and he looks at me. I feel during that time like I have lost my best friend. He likes to clamp his mouth around my arm so I cannot leave him.

Greetings All, Just an update on what I still have and am willing to sell. One 5 lb bag blue aventurine for...oh I'll say $23.00. Two 5 lb bags leopardskin jasper, what the heck, how about $21.00 each. And one 5 lb bag of flame agate, oh how about $22.00 for that. Does not include shipping, which I will be happy to figure out. Afore too much longer now I'll be placing the order for my first 500 kg shipment, and I really need to figure out the total start up cost for an Ebay store after that so I can try and resale the rocks. We'll see how it goes WilliamC

Hi William: I'd like one bag of the leopard skin jasper, if you still have any. I'd be willing to send a check, and when it clears to your satisfaction you can send the rocks. No rush on my part. (PayPal never works for me.)
If shipping is LESS than $8, I'll be willing to buy.
If this suits you, send me your address and the price. Thank you for your previous email and your advice!

Greetings All, Wow, more people are interested in buying some rough Thanks guys, ya'll are really making it easy for me to justify buying the rough rock from India. I'll post an update on that situation in the Indiarockhounder.com thread. I still am not 100% certain the company is legitimate, but if it is I'm set to go to buy 500 kilos of rough, 100 kilos each of 5 different types. Hey, if I'm able to sell some of it, I'll be buying more, and more different too. ;D WilliamC

Greetings All, Well folks I don't know what to say. Thanks to you (and Andy of course!) I've sold 4 bags of rough, enough to pay for the 12 pound tumbler that should be waiting for me when I get home tonight ;D I really appreciate it everyone. Currently I am trying to place the order with the Indiarockhounder.com company, I'm ready to buy, and I'm going to start setting up an Ebay store to sell some of the rough and make a small business out of it. What great fun! I'll post back as soon as I get an order placed and let everyone know what I've got coming, and I need to update on my own tumbling, which is still, well, rolling along I can't wait to set up a load in the 12 pounder, I wonder what I will use first? Hey, after selling off 20 lbs of what I bought I'm actually getting a little low on rough. Maybe it's time to break up that rainbow obsidian... WilliamC

Good for you. I hope it all works out. There is nothing better than doing what you love. Love where you live, like what you do, keep doing it. Thanks for the aventurine, I am tumbling some, and faceting some. I am making a trillion for a pendant, 35mm. It is a slow go, the sheetrockers are dusting up the house, we are moving everything room to room and living and working in it. My workshop is scattered throughout the house. Any body looking for a restored Floriduh conch house, with established business and training? Someone will do real well here. Goin' to LA... via Omaha.

Greetings All, Well I've had a new request from another member who wants to buy some rough from me, so this weekend I'll bust up the mahagony obsidian and flame agate boulders I purchased off of Ebay and make up several 5-lb bags of each. I'll offer the flame agate at $22 per bag and the mahagony obsidian at $20 per bag. Again, this is rough I purchased for my own tumbling but if anyone else is interested I'll be happy to sell some. Just drop me an email. Thanks again everyone for being interested in buying rough from me, I'm quite honored to be so trusted by all of you WilliamC

Greetings All,
I had forgotten that I sent Andy pictures of the Flame agate and the mahagony obsidian boulders. They are on the website under visitor pictures. These are the very ones I'll be busting up over the weekend for anyone who's interested.
