I found this rock on a beach at Lake Superior when I was a kid. As best I can tell, it is some sort of puddingstone with various inclusions throughout. One day at each stage in the Lot-O and this is what I've got. There is some annoying AO that did not come out even with a burnish. I am trying to decide the best method for getting it off. I'm a bit leery of knocking the inclusion pebbles out in the process.

Not sure I'm adding the photo correctly, but it seems to work with right clicking and opening in a new tab

I had to resize the pic a bit. I don't know much about rock identification, but I haven't seen anything like that called a puddingstone before. Very cool looking rock. Maybe filled with tiny agates?

Find an ultrasonic unit on E-Bay, they can be had really cheap ! One of those will pop the grit off in about 5 seconds !

It is not puddingstone. Wigginrock's assessment makes sense.

I agree with the basalt as well. I've also seen them called Galaxy Stone by youtubers. Great nickname. The agates do look like little planets.
