This may have been covered a hundred times, but here's a hundred and one.
I have a Chicago Electric Rotary Tumbler that has become overly noisy the past several months. It has come to the point where I have to turn it off for a while from all the noise. I've done some maintenance on it, such as replace the belts, oil the shafts, etc, but it sounds like its coming from the motor.
Anyone else had issues with these particular rotary tumblers?

To answer the question. Harbor Freight Chicago tumblers are just Junk. If you get a good One that great . if you get a bad One well. The good part it may be salvageable . Sometimes they may just need a tune up. a tune up means taking it apart and see if everything Lines up. Belts are In line with the plastic Fan Plastic fan Is level shafts are sort of square and bushing are good I had one Like yours and somewhat helped. It will not be fix all But will help. If yours has a removable top. take it off and just look at it Run . with a drum and without . If thing look sort of wobbly . You will know what to aline . If thing Look good to You and still Have problems Well buy a lortone

Interesting. I didn't know these tumblers had a reputation for being junk. After getting my Lortone 3A, there is such a difference in performance and noise. The Lortone runs so smooth and is somewhat soothing (I run it in my bedroom). I had the Chicago Electric in my room but had to take it out due to the noise. I did replace the belt a while back, hoping that was the issue. But it wasn't and I'm about ready to scrap it.

The Moto always Stands True. "You get what you Pay for" or "You buy Cheap you Get cheap" take your pick
