John that is a killer striper. I have fished for stripers most of my fishing career and never got one. I was in Misquamicut RI when the fellow who set the state record caught the fish. I was real young, and I got to see the fish before anybody knew it was a record. In my pre Vietnam, really drunk youth, I was a big game fisherman. At 16, I got to crew for Frank Mundus out of Montauk. Now there was a sick puppy. I learned a lot, overcame a lot of fears, got to see really up close some unbelieveable sharks. Watched a 17 foot thresher chew off a piece of our transom off the Hudson canyon. We ran taking serious water all the way back through the inlet and directly to a marina for hauling. Got to do some sword sticking off Martha's Vinyard during sword season. My first year of college, I made tuition by fishing for giants and big eyes off PEI. Got an 1100lb giant on 500lb Jap mono. The battle took almost 11hrs., backing down on the fish the whole time. Backing into the sea keeping the line loose, massive waves breaking over the transom, me. By the time we landed the fish I was ready to die. I have never been so tired and sore. I was in the harness the whole time. That was when tuna was 11$lb off the boat. Hey, you know those Bonita that everybody says are trash fish. The ones who take the bait and strip the reel? If they are bled properly, soaked in milk and grilled. They are great. Gotta bleed them out though or they are as rough as blue fish. Slit the gills, slice the deadrise and put them in the water untill the blood is gone. Good eatin. The first ex-wife, they never listen, went tuna fishing with us and we had her in the chair. She refused to strap down untill she had a fish on. She had a solid pole, 16/0 Senator locked down, 250 lb., braided line. We were trolling, she was strapped to the pole, the pole was lashed to the chair post, she was not strapped down and was putting on sun screen while we were running a daisey chain with 8 15lb blue fish for bait. We dragged a 10ft log in front of the chain. Makes bubbles and disguises the braided line. Tuna are picky. Big bait, big fish. We had a big eye cruising the daisey chain. The tuna come up and dive around the bait. Over and over. They are very suspicious. We had a few tuna chasing the bait and suddenly they took off. My ex was still not strapped down. A Mako came out of nowhere Slammed the bait. The hook set, the ex catapulted out of the chair headed for the transom. The rod was connected to the chair, she was connected to the rod. That Mako beat the living snot out of her and we could not keep her from being slammed into the transom. Over and over. The Mako jumped, tail walked, ran to the boat, turned jumped. I can still see my ex, suspended over the deck with a shark on one end and a chair on the other. I still laugh. She thought we were testosterone junkies and all the gear was just silly. She is an Aries and they argue over anything anyway. She was still blaming me even up to the divorce. Women. Hey, we safe in West Palm Beach, looking for real estate. Probably going to settle in Ft. Myers. Better land prices. Still real rural. We safe and we feel real lucky.

That's what I thought. My husband (a chef) loves to use it as a feature, and that's how they like to list it, for that reason.
