I have "Rocks and Minerals by Chris Pellant" got it on ebay for $4.08 and it's like brand new. It's a great book, tons of color photos. I'm really enjoying it.
Another book I'd lilke to get is "National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Rocks and Minerals". Anyone have this? Any opinions on it?

Yes I have that one Cher. It is a good book. Lots of pics of different rocks and minerals. Also has a section exclusive for rocks considered semi-precious. It shows rough and faceted or cabbed. The book can be a bit technical at times but it is full of useful info. I actually use it quite a bit to help identify.

Hello ;D I ordered National Audubon Society Field Guide to Rocks and Minerals and Simon & Schuster's Guide to Rocks and Minerals. I bought them from some particular sellers at Amazon.com and haven't receive them yet Gemstones of the world sounds good! I might try that one out! Thanks for your posting Skipper It is always great to have book reviews! I use this booksearch to find good prices in books. Maybe it could be useful to some of you! Here is the link: www.addall.com/ ;D
