Well? I mean, we DO have a lot of patience to get these rocks right. Heck, if James can tumble stones in Phase 1 alone for 3 months, I think he'd take gold.
And Sandman takes Gold for the triathlon: Tumbling, Cutting, Fishing.
Gotta be some medalists for rock finding in this group, too.
Of course, we'd test positive for polish in the bloodstream...is that legal?

I'm with you on this one Skipper,
If trampoline can be considered an Olympic Event, then why not tumbling (not the floor gymnastics variety)

LOL I've climbed up some pretty steep places in the gravel pits just knowing there would be something "better" up there. For me, that qualifies as an olympic event. [glow=red,2,300]Cher[/glow]

LOL , when I get down to the beach and get my boots and hands wet , does that qualify for a swimming medal. The water even gets inside the boots sometimes that should give me extra points Hmmm.............. I'm dreaming of a gold medal , Like the ones we see on TV. Was that Jim Reeves.... ;D

Hello everyone,
Did you hear of the lady that was competing in the Track & Field Olympice in Greece ... that when asked what medal she would like to have? Her answer was "the silver" ... pondering her response the interviewer asked "why would you want the silver when you could have gold?" ... her response "because the silver medal is solid silver and the gold medal is only gold plated, so it's worth more ..."
I found that totally hilarious ... you should have seen the look on the interviewer's face!
Enjoy,
John

her response "because the silver medal is solid silver and the gold medal is only gold plated, so it's worth more ..." Smart girl! I'd much rather have solid silver than something gold plated any day of the week!
I would have loved to have seen that! I bet the announcer's expression was priceless. LOL!
I think I should qualify for a gold because of all the days I have taken Max for a walk and filled my pockets with rocks. So what, you say? That's no big deal, you say? Well, when one has on shorts with a somewhat stretched elastisized waistband, the rocks are so heavy the shorts start slipping downward and one has to hold on to the dog lease with one hand and hold the shorts up with the other, all the while stopping to pick up just one more rock, it is quite a feat! And when waistband of said shorts has drooped down around buttocks, said dog sees a rabbit and makes chase, it is even more exciting to hold on to leash with one hand, try to pull up pants with the other and walk fast enough to keep up with dog so that arms aren't pulled out of the sockets! Now THAT is an Olympic event for sure! And deserving of a gold metal. ;D

LLana takes the Gold! And the crowd goes wild....with laughter ;D Actually, technically, the Max/Llana team take the gold. The individual has yet to be decided. I've laid on my belly in the mud on a steep incline digging for rutillated quartz in the qualifying rounds, but BE beat me out in the finals for coming home with a white shirt completely intacked after a day of rock hounding in Texas. Theres allways next year... cookie

Thanks for the good laugh llana. I could just see you with Max's leash in one hand, your hand grasping the waistband of your shorts with the other, loosing rocks out of your pockets and stopping to pick them up, trying to keep up with the dog hot on the trail of a rabbit.....the whole scene played out in my mind! Life's great when your able to laugh at yourself and then share it with others! Thanks! Otter
