brybry I love bots. They have a big variety of color and patterns plus they are usually pretty high quality agate. They’re also still relatively inexpensive. I’ve been adding a lot of small lakers lately too. Hopefully some of them will get through coarse pretty soon. There is a group of decent lakers in one of the close-up photos. I’m looking forward to seeing some of your bots.

The finished pics I find on the forum is the reason I got some, lol. I have Bahias rolling with some Rainbow Ledge agate right now.
Just got 2 more 15lb barrels and putting together the parts I need to build a deck to handle the 4 big barrels. Then I'll be rolling, literally.

brybryThat sounds awesome. I’m running two 12 pound Lortones exclusively on coarse. I have a Lortone 33B running fine through polish. I have several 3 lb barrels and three 12 lb barrels so I have the potential to have four barrels running all the time. The 12 pounders are getting close to keeping up with the 33B. Coarse is still the holdup though. Your setup sounds sweet! Can’t wait to see more photos.

Once everything is built I'll be running 4 15/17 lb barrels for course, 1 6lb & 1 9lb barrel for stage 2 and 2 UV-45s for pre-polish & polish. Snagged a brand new bowl off of eBay just for polish.
ETA- I do have 4 3lb barrels I'll keep around for small projects.

Those turned out spectacular Brent! Hmmm...it's these kind of threads from you that make me want to move some Bots to the front of the line to cab! LOL

Those came out really nice Brent. As others have said, Bot's never seem to fail.

jasoninsd I made a lot of hand pushed bot slabs from the material I bought in keystone. Mine are never as even in thickness as I would like. I’ve been dealing with natural cracks by putting them in a small vice and breaking them by hand, (gloved hand). Don’t ask me why I learned to use the glove. Some are set aside for cabs. Others go straight into the tumbler.. they sure are fun rocks. Great pattern and typically very solid. thanks Don catskillrocks. They have been some of my funnest rocks to tumble. I get a little carried away at times. I have to remind myself it’s all about having fun.

Nice batch! Bots are a surefire way to get something great. I don't know that I've seen a bad Bot.

One of the all-time great tumbling materials. I like the pink ones. It looks like you took your time and got them well-rounded in the rough grind stage. That seems to be key to getting a good shiny in a rotary tumbler.
