Yes...this is me. On top of the world so to speak...sunburnt...and as usual talking whenever my photo is being taken. I thought I'd do a sort of diary of some of my collecting trips. On this trip, I had so much to share, I created a web page for you all to check out. onyxhollow.com/images/rocks/first-dig.shtml

Hello Emerald, Wow, what fun! Looks like you were having a blast ... and I don't blame you one bit! I'd be out there too, if I lived closer. I was just thinking to myself ... thank God it's Emerald and not Emril. Don't get me wrong ... I like his cooking show ... but, it would be tough to read the post like this: We headed out to the gravel pit and "BAM" .. I found a chunk of Quartz ... then "BAM" another and "BAM, BAM" two more. It was a great day, then "BAM" lightning cracked and it looked like it was going to rain. We could use the rain to wash the dirt off of the rocks so we ... "BAM" (found another one) ... sorry about that ... could see the stones better. ;D Enjoy, John

rotflol ;D Now THAT was funny John!
Indeed it was a great time.....
I'm curious how some of the quartz will tumble. So many different colors....just not sure where to start.
One more trip...alot more cleaning, then "BAM" I'm going to start selecting the most likely stuff to tumble. (Ok...maybe that wasn't that funny)
