Hello Helen, Thanks for the hug! We went to Garden City, Kansas (the closest town that actually offers appliances/furnature - about 70 miles away - one way) ... Yea, I live in the country - it's has it's pro's and con's ... but, they are all worth it We picked him up a 24" Toshiba tv,dvd, vcr and a microwave, down comforter, cutlery and a full set of towels ... so hopefully he'll enjoy them. Actually - I am going to tell him that I'll need to come over and watch tv with him ... just to see what it is like to watch something on a new tv ;D I am having a hard time with it all - but, we will get through this and life will go on. My heart goes out to anyone that might be going through this situation. I had to call my Mom and tell her that what she said some 24 years ago - was right. She got a kick out of that and told me to hang in there. She also told me that "the first time is the worst ... but everytime you come and visit and I watch you drive away ... that same feeling comes back. It's just a little easier to deal with". I said "Thanks Mom, you know you didn't have to say that!" We both laughed and enjoyed each other's company. I guess this is just one part of life that I was not ready to experience/deal with. Oh well, face it head on Have a great day! John

the pain will pass and you move on. In my case the son went to college for 4 years lived there for the last 2 1/2 years in a apartment graduated and moved back home. Now we have to adjust to him being HOME. He just found a job and will start next tuesday. I may get lucky and have him move out again. life goes on
