Thanks for your thoughts on this stuff everyone! I had considered Stinking Water, but had never seen examples with these colors and inclusions. Mostly just the white ‘feathers’ in clear agate. I have more of this rough, and it actually came from two different collections. It sounds like Mark K and Vince have also run into it as well. My guess is at some point a miner found and dug out this material peripheral to a known site (maybe near Graveyard Point as realrockhound and Vince mentioned) and brought it down to Quartzsite or Tucson to sell. It ended up in a few collections. Who knows? Thanks for chiming in!

Wow, great cab Brian! And I can't see any fractures either, which is unusual for that scarce agate. Thanks Mel! Yeah I was surprised by how solid this little slab was.

Well... it's not that old I suppose. Cut this one in November right after I moved the Genie up north to the cabin (cabbin’ at the cabin) Just now getting around to post the pics. Hope to get back into the cab game again here soon.

Thanks for tagging me on this Tommy I documented both trips I took out this way 14 and 12 years ago (hard to believe its been that long!). I too became.. um.. ‘obsessed’ for a while trying to find an easier way to get there (up north past Horseshoe). I realized back then that without a 4x I didn’t have much chance. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/22739/spring-break-trip-pixforum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/37001/spring-break-trip-lotsa-pixLike AzRockGeek said, most of the purple sagenite float was collected long ago. But from what I understand, digging in that area (just above the last switchback to the crossing) can yield some stellar results! drocknut take a look at the first pic in my second thread in comparison to yours. Yours is a much better pic, but I do believe we were standing right about the same spot
