Leroy and Bo were talking about things a couple hours from quitting time when Bo says "Did you ever notice that the boss always leaves early?" Leroy says "Yea, I've noticed that, too." Bo says "Lets sneak out early, too." Leroy says "I'm not too sure about that, its kinda risky!" Bo says "Aw come on, no one will know." So they leave early and as Leroy comes driving around the corner near his house he spots the boss's car in his driveway. Leroy backs up and parks on the cross street. He sneaks up to his house and peeks in the bedroom window where he spies the boss making love to his wife. Leroy goes dashing to his car and drives away. The next day as they notice the boss leaving early Bo says "lets do it again!" Leroy says "No I can't possibly do that, I almost got caught!!!"

Racism?

Tom Joyner - black radio host - said "Let's not even deal with the facts right now. Lets deal with just our blackness and pride - and loyalty. We have the chance to re-elect the first African American president, and that's what we ought to be doing. And I'm not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because he's a black man" Could a white radio host say this and not be called a racist? I think not! Bob

I use 1/2" shaft stock with heavy Tygon tubing slid over it. You need a rubber or tubing cover over the rollers to prevent wear on the barrels and to keep the noise down. Bob

Kris, I'v been going to Davis Creek to collect the fabulous Rainbow Obsidian for 30 years or so. I haven't been there for a year or so and unfortunately I can't make it this time. Are you planning on going next year? I'd like to meet up with you then. Obsidian is one of my obsessions. I wrote an article for Lapidary Journal on cutting Catseye Obsidian from Davis Creek in the July 2010 issue. Bob

Hello Darren from England. A few days ago there was a news article in the US about the heat wave in England. It said there was record heat and it showed photos of crowds at the beaches. Also there was a photo of the fantastic fish and chips that they have over there. I remember them from a stint I had with the US Navy in Scotland. Don't you just love those fish and chips? Bob

Regardless of who gets elected the will of congress to defy all the big dollar lobbyists just isn't there nor is the will to downsize government bureaucracies. Big government is self perpetuating and omnivorous. Bob

Suprisingly enough the little plastic labels on fruit and vegtables in the grocery store are deemed to be "edible" I'm going to look the mushrooms over very closely before I think about maybe considering possibly harvesting one to slice open and view its interior before tossing it back into the yard. I'm not desperate enough for food at this moment to bite into one. I can remember stories in the Bay Area involving immigrants usually from Central and South America that go into the woods and harvest mushrooms that look like those found back home and they end up either dying a horrible death or having to go on the list for a liver transplant. Again I'm not that desperate for food. Bob
