Excellent news to hear on your diagnosis and that it is not cancer, phoenix1647!!! Did the docs suggest a diet for you or check into which meds you are taking that may be contributing to your diagnosis?

Welcome back, LarryS! BB is a handsome fur baby! Rat Terriers are a hoot. We have a female that we adopted. Glad to see your shoulder is on the mend. Don't blame you for not minding the doc's orders, lol.

broseph82 Jimi, if you don't mind that I ask, where did you purchase the wheel? Does the wheel make a loud noise (not sure how to describe it) when you cab? Mine is so loud that I have to wear earplugs. Irritating. lol. One of the OA members said that he had the 'noise' issue with a diamond resin wheel from Covington. I keep hoping the noise will stop after the wheel is broken-in.

Well, glennz01, I commend you for trying to encourage folks to enter your themed monthly cabbing contest and for asking forum members for their recommendations for the contest. I thought your idea of a themed contest was pretty cool. I tried to help spiritstone come up with a similar idea to yours on the Opal Auctions forum except we created a monthly list for the year so members could view it before each month.

...Next month I was thinking about fall colors (I thought that would be cool for October) but I will postpone that for november if the next months resaults are the same... glennz01, I like your idea of fall colors for October, but have you seen some of the cool "Halloween" cabs and lapidary materials previously posted by some of the forum members? Maybe a 'spooky' or Halloween theme for October?

Maybe Glenn is trying to make the RTH monthly FCC more interesting and fun for those that decide to enter until carleton returns. I also think Glenn would like feedback on the cabs he enters in the cab contests so he may learn and improve his cabbing technique. spiritstone created a similar contest on the Opal Auctions forum, but it didn't hold because most of the forum members did not cab. micellular, you have 2 beautiful cabs that could be entered in the contest - your Guadalupe cab and probably your silicified limestone, although it has curvy lines. I believe the rules are they have to have been cabbed w/in the month of the contest.

Very nice shine, chassroc, and glad you cranked up your tumblers again. The one with the dendrites is very pretty - maybe a Montana?

broseph82, are the dark spots still showing up on your cab(s) after cleaning your wheel w/ vinegar? I purchased a Chinese-made 280 grit diamond resin wheel from Arrowhead Lapidary that is very LoUd and leaves dark areas on my cabs very similar to the ones you shared in your pics, and I use a drip system (enough for a good shower). I think it's a 'bad' wheel. Have used the Covington diamond resin wheels that I think are also the same ones used on the CabKing that I really liked, but they are also made in China.

Beautiful wrap and cab, Roger! Have not heard of Turkish Ottoman opal before, and as @shotgunner mentioned, it almost looks like Victoria Stone. Wonder if it's chrysopal?
