melhill1659 sorry to hear that it was more of a flea market. Did you take pictures of your set up to use for future applications? My daughter, best friend, and I just did our hospital craft show on Tuesday. Sold a little bit and took several orders for Christmas. But it was good to have one done. I seriously stressed about prices, displays and such. Was surprised at what sold and what didn't. Helps me understand more about the market. What I made was simple smithed jewelry items, not the cab set work that I would eventually like to sell. We stressed out over all of that for weeks! I’m just glad it’s over. I did get set up pictures for applying to more. Understanding the market is going to be the hardest part I’m thinking... unless I win the PowerBall tonight. Then F the market! I’m gonna have the most unique collection of one of a kinds anywhere đŸ˜‚ what’s next for y’all? Well I see that neither of us won the Lottery Not sure what is next for us. My daughter is working on a name and logo and she is good friends with the woman (Kathy) who runs our largest Chattanooga markets as well as the Makers Space (incubator for artists just starting out). She had asked Alex earlier this year whose jewelry she is always wearing and when she said my Mom's, Kathy asked her is I would be a guest artist on one of the open studio nights. After the show I feel like I could actually do this, so we are reaching out to her to see when her next availability is. What do you have coming up next?

I love the video with Amy. I think the slow motion, with slow motion sounds at the end make it even more fun I lucked into a soil pipe cutter several years ago at a mineral club camping/collecting trip. I traded some self collected obsidian for it. My favorite way to open geodes, if you don't have the chain cutter, is done by tapping. Select a light weight geode and hold it in your non-dominant hand. Imagine an equator line where you would like the geode to split along. Now, using a household hammer, lightly tap the geode along that line, while rotating it in your hand. That way you are tapping along the entire circumference of the imaginary equator. Continue this for several minutes, only tapping lightly and rotating the entire time. The geode should split rather cleanly along this line within just a minute or three. To make the video fun, have Amy use this method successfully with several pre-selected geodes, while you just keep taping on the same one with no success. Maybe end by sledge hammering it in frustration. I've really enjoyed watching your YouTube channel evolve over the past year. This summer I really liked the videos with AquaChigger. I bought a metal detector last winter and have really enjoyed not finding buried treasure Ann

We have a newer 'store' that just opened up in the Chattanooga area. North Georgia Wholesale LiquidatorsI think they are an Amazon returns liquidator. They get pallet loads of merchandise and they just dump the items into bins. Saturday and Sundays they put out 20 new bins each day. Every item is $5. They are closed on Monday. Tuesday every item left in the bins is $3. Wednesday $1, Thursday $0.50. Friday they are closed to the public and they dump anything remaining in the dumpster and everything starts again on Saturday. We have found items that retail for well over $50 in those bins. But you have to put in the time, open boxes, fight the crowds on Saturday and Sunday. I kinda like Tuesdays the best. Not crowded and still some goodies to be found. My best friend found a solid stainless ultrasonic cleaner on one of the $5 days. I found a felt jewelry sales display case for 24 necklaces on a $1 day. They will also sell the huge unbundled pallets starting at $250, but that just seems like too much of a hassle. You don't know whats inside each box and you can only see some of the packages.

I've been searching for the perfect dendrite slab. Now I know why I couldn't find it. You had it all along! There is a guy on etsy from the EU somewhere who sells nice slabs at a good price. You have to thin them out. They are really thick. If you have his store name please PM me.

Thrift stores are like rock hounding. Full of treasures if you put in the time! I get the biggest kick out if finding the diamonds in the rough at junk shops and flee markets.
