That Bruneau slab is crazy. They’re all beauties but that one is unique. Some nice finds for sure.

kingson It’s likely that you could find a replacement at an auto parts store.

Nice capture on the pattern Rick. I’ve been really impressed with some beautiful flint lately. Thanks for sharing your work.

I haven't had me 33B very long but is definitely taking some adjustment to change over from my Nat Geo. I think that it will work out well though. I’ve got one Lortone tumbler that’s been with me longer than my wife and I’ve been married to her 30+ years.

Thanks Patty liveoak The bumps are where I punched the mounting holes instead of drilling. The punch makes a little slug when it goes through and it bulges the steel somewhat. No power tools were used. It’s all anvil and hammer work, (except the twisting).

The carrier for the diamond compound may not be water soluble. Silicone spray is recommended a lot when charging the diamond pads. That’s good advice. I use extender fluid or mineral oil. I never spray water on the pads.

My first try at a paper towel roll holder, plus a few more s-hooks.

Bittersweet post. Cute little machine. How many pounds does that one do? I’ve just got the little 3B guy and mostly use it for jewelry burnishing anymore. Each barrel holds a nominal 6 lbs. It will also run a single 12 lb barrel. It’s a nice fit between the the 12 pounders and the 33b. I had a notification set at Kingsley North. As soon as I received the notification, an order was placed. I’m not sure if they have any more.

The rock is a beauty. It looks quite a bit rounder now. I like the eyes in the second photo.
Thanks for showing.

I added a couple spin on discs for the CK. One for 8K diamond and one for 50K diamond. With most rocks, it can be hard to tell a difference between 14K and 50K. With solid agates like MMA or porcelain jaspers, you can see an improvement. I second the idea of using lighter fluid for cleaning, followed with good dish soap and water. Cross contamination is a pain in the neck.

Those have great fortifications. It looks like they could have parallax shadows. The cracks barely show. They must be pretty tight. Your shaping and polish look fantastic as usual. I don’t think I’ve heard of Mongolian banded agates before. They’re cool. Thanks for showing.
