Zeke was my heart dog. So I was owned by him, hence ZEKESMAN. I use it on all forums. People who know me knew Zeke. Vic

No ID's but 6 & 7 look useless. If you box them up and send them to me I will dispose of them at no cost. Vic

My daughter lives in Portland. She went to a local show and got me some Biggs! I need some ID help with the first one. It is chatoyant and appears to have both copper and hematite in it.

Was using a SS step bezel. I think I pushed to hard. Guess I should play around with cheaper material first to build my skills. The crazy setting will look better with a shallow jasper anyway! It may be easier to start with some ovals. Sharp points can be hard. I would recut it round the ends and try again. Vic

Insomnia is a funny thing, lots of archives to look through. Here is a pic of me working in Conroe tx a year ago. When I see the work you put out I don't expect a guy with HUGE paws like that.

It looks like compression artifacts. Lynn What is compression artifacts? Vic Nevermind. LOL Now I am looking at the pics on a monitor instead of my phone I can see what you all are talking about. Will keep trying. I am glad cutting stones and silver work are easier that posting photos to a forum. I would have given up the hobby long ago. Vic

It's beautiful!! I've been trying to wear the soldering hat this past week and the only thing I accomplished was to brake the tip off of my beautifully self cabbed Rhodochrosite!!! Urrrrr What was the problem you had? Was the bezel too tight after you soldered it? We can probably help you work through some issues if we know what they are. I am by no means an expert, but there is a lot of collective knowledge on the board. Vic

Love the shank. If you don't mind I want to use this in my own work. No problem. Most of my stuff is "inspired by others" lol

No that is what the stone looks like in person. I am a poor mechanic, but could not resist buying a few small pieces at our show last year. Vic
