My wife and I are fortunate to live where we're at, we have 3 acres and neighbors are not close to us. Our property is fenced and gated along with two 160 lb watch dogs that are not friendly with strangers unless they're children. We have not had any problems in the 15 years we have lived here. There is still an abundance of meth heads further up the road about a mile, however they will not even walk on the road on the same side as our property because of the dogs doing they're job and protecting they're territory. our nearest neighbor is actually a state trooper so that deters people with wrong intentions as well.

Thank You all for the comments, I am just north of Lincoln city have 3 acres in Otis and have converted my barn into my work shop for all of my cutting and polishing needs. I sell on Ebay to pay for my hobby as I am a collector of the Laguna and Agua Nueva nodules. I do occasionally go agate hunting on the beaches but prefer to a little north to cape mears where I have had luck with fist size agates along with the thunderstorm jasper.

That Texas is some nice material to work with, i have some myself and enjoy working with it when i have the time. I have a 7 lb chunk from the Woodward Ranch that has a cut face and a beautiful pocket of more moss than plume. Thanks for sharing...Mark...MLOGANROCKS...OREGON COAST...

Hi All, I posted on here earlier along with a link to my Ebay store before reading about the 50 post rule. My name is Mark and I just wanted to say that i meant no disrespect to the members or this site. i am a lifelong rockhound who enjoys digging, cutting, & polishing here on the Oregon coast. I do most of my digging in central and south eastern Oregon when i get the chance. I am hoping to get back into the thunderegg beds down in McDermit in September as I keep hearing rumours of them being shut down due to the amount of wild fires in the last couple of years. I have gotten some nice eggs out of there over the years and will miss digging there. Warm Regards to all fellow rockhounds, Sincerely...Mark...MLOGANROCKS...Oregon Coast...

Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Mark and I'm from the Oregon Coast. I like and work with many types of rock including, plume's, Jasper's, Thunderegg's, Petrified Wood, and Agate. I go digging when I get the chance and would like to open my own Rock Shop here locally one day. I currently have an online store through Ebay selling a variety of material from rough to polished. stores.ebay.com/MLoganRocks We charge one flat rate price of $6.00 for shipping in the U.S. regardless of how many pieces you order and offer 30 day refunds on any item or items we sell. I am thankful to have come across this site as there is not a whole lot of discussion boards in the rockhounding world. Thanks for having me, Sincerely, Mark...MLOGANROCKS...

Hi I was looking at your Angel Wing and it does appear to be Oregon Material. Eagle rock in Eastern Oregon produced some of the white and yours appears to be from the Friend Ranch (Daryl Friends) out of Ashwood Oregon, because of the green mixture with white. Your piece is quite rare as not a whole lot of this material came out before some body destroyed the area using a back hole and breaking it all up. They thought digging under and over this seam of material would make it easier for digging and of course ruined it instead. There is no longer digging in this area and it was famous for it's thundereggs mainly which i never really cared too much about because it took too many cuts to get a decent one worth polishing. Hope this helps, Best Regards from the Oregon Coast...Mark...MLOGANROCKS...
