Yep, It would indeed be if I had a few friends that could share it with! My husband won’t camp, doesn’t care to be in a vehicle longer than driving to an airport and saying you like to hike but never actually doing it doesn’t count 😂 My sister has been going with me the last few years. She’s not as active as she has been in the past.

Hi, I’m going to keep this simple. I am looking for A friend or more to fit these requirements:
1. Able to travel-get a way on 2-3 week trips discovering the US. 2. Loves Rocks, long rock hunts and loves hiking/exploring outdoors. 3. Doing the above things from a travel trailer and long hours behind the wheel. I PROVIDE TRAVEL TRAILER AN ADVENTURE
I’m approaching 48. At this time in my life I’m finding it more important to get out and see and do things NOW instead of waiting for What our GOLDEN YEARS? Question... If you wait that long are you going to be physically able to hike up and down that mountain trail?
If you are a foody that Has To Eat three square meals then we’re not a fit. My breakfast is coffee, lunch is usually around 3-4 eating nabs outside doing something, dinner a sandwich and chips. The camper has a full kitchen though so if you think ahead you’ll be ok.
I take my mini dog everywhere! She’s loving, doesn’t shed, fully potty trained and she loves her mama.
Up coming trip is Quartzsite February! I will leave from Mississippi traveling with 32’ travel trailer. This trip will be 2/3 weeks long. If you live along the way, love somewhere cool a little outside the way, then I’ll come pick you up!
Interested? Let’s talk!

Bump! I was lucky enough to learn my Intarsia skills from Bill first hand. I’ve really missed my time at William Holland and my friends. Hopefully 2021 will be brighter and open back up the possibilities of fellowship again. Miss you Bill!

Hello, I’m pasting you a link to all the Gem and Mineral Societies in TN and contact information for each. It’s on our Southeastern Federation of Mineralogy Society. I’m currently their VP. www.amfed.org/sfms/_pdf/2019%20Tennessee.pdfI live in Madison, MS. In my experience, you see rocks around you all your life but it’s not until you SEE the rocks around you that they come to life. Not a whole lot is happening within our clubs lately but I’m still sure they’d love to here from you.

This set doesn’t look like much yet but I’ve used my etching plates to add different elements to my designs to make a cohesive collection. As we all know the metal work is important but it’s still only a BACK DROP for the stones!!!

That looks awesome, Mel. Please show us the results when you're done. Which part does the orange represent - the resist part? To answer your question simply YES I designed it that the orange will be the resist.

That looks awesome, Mel. Please show us the results when you're done. Which part does the orange represent - the resist part? You have 2 basic things going on. The see through part and the color. When it comes off the cutter you take out the vinyl part that you want to etch. It’s your choice. Where the vinyl is it won’t etch. This is really how it looks on my computer before I put it in cut mode.

melhill1659 thanks for the answers and a big thank you for the workshop handout! I'll be reading it through in the near future.
This has been something I've been interested in but have never pursued.
I really enjoy it. I just have to tear myself away from the design and science of it to put the new plates into use. It gets addictive.

WARNING! - "If you keep doing what you are doing, you are going to get where you are going"! And a promise. Thank you for always being my biggest supporter!! I work hard to improve every day. I’m not all that sure where “I want to go” per say but I know I wouldn’t be where I am without you and so many other wonderful friends!

That is a really good handout!!!!!!!!!! Didn't read the whole thing yet but it seems to answer all my questions and then some. All kinds of possibilities. I have the handout, I took a week long class an I’m still tweaking. Ask questions if you’d like an I’ll try to answer them.
