Hey! I’m from Madison. I mostly hunt around Claiborne county. I’ve been telling all these guys for years we have some of the prettiest agates in the world right here. Since they’re found in abundance I guess I take it for granted. Not a whole lot of Rockhounders to compete with. We should meet up!

orrumOh my North Carolina... did I know that? I should know that shouldn’t I? Well hell then you’ll be a lot closer to me than AZ 😂 Recently I got the opportunity to finally go NORTH EAST. Bill I sure do wish my husband liked my camper! I fell in love with Pennsylvania and New York State. I’d so enjoy taking a month, bringing some lapidary equipment and exploring that part of the country. 2020 my sister an I went to New Mexico 3x’s and the two states I just mentioned. The two years prior to that I was pretty much a hermit. I got up, walked to the studio, worked all day then walked back into the house. I was trying to get my business off the ground and totally lost sight of why I started doing it in the first place. After getting home from that recent visit I started revamping my camper and had quiet time to think. I’ve decided on a new path... Get reacquainted and stay in touch with my friends, get out in nature that inspired this fire in me to begin with, bring along my Genie so I can create when I’m standing slap dab in the middle of inspiration. That would be my heaven on Earth. Now to get the Hubby on board or figure out a way to get home once a week to service him 🙈😂😂

Hey @melhill11659 I probably will be recuperating from my partial foot amputation. So will not make Q this year. LOL. I am still in Az. Ahhh guess that means I need to come visit you!! Message me! We can work out the details. I don’t mind at all taking a detour if you’re going to be at the end of it.

That looks like a mini house with plenty of room to bring lots of rocks back We’ll have to ship most of our rocks home I’m afraid. Camper is plenty big BUT my F150 can only haul so much. I see a F250 in my near future! Not before January though.

As soon as I get a 3/4 ton truck to haul the camper I’ll start bringing my Genie and small slab saw with me.

My rig: All the renovations will be done by October! No worries about getting things dirty. I used the good scrubbable paint and the new couch cushions are going to be scotch guarded. My guest will get the day bed that lets out to a king and Emy an I sleep in the bunk house in the back on the bottom twin. I prefer ROCK PICS too but this has to get done 😂

Hi, I’m going to keep this simple. I am looking for A friend or more to fit these requirements: 1. Able to travel-get a way on 2-3 week trips discovering the US. 2. Loves Rocks, long rock hunts and loves hiking/exploring outdoors. 3. Doing the above things from a travel trailer and long hours behind the wheel. I PROVIDE TRAVEL TRAILER AN ADVENTURE I’m approaching 48. At this time in my life I’m finding it more important to get out and see and do things NOW instead of waiting for What our GOLDEN YEARS? Question... If you wait that long are you going to be physically able to hike up and down that mountain trail? If you are a foody that Has To Eat three square meals then we’re not a fit. My breakfast is coffee, lunch is usually around 3-4 eating nabs outside doing something, dinner a sandwich and chips. The camper has a full kitchen though so if you think ahead you’ll be ok. I take my mini dog everywhere! She’s loving, doesn’t shed, fully potty trained and she loves her mama. Up coming trip is Quartzsite February! I will leave from Mississippi traveling with 32’ travel trailer. This trip will be 2/3 weeks long. If you live along the way, love somewhere cool a little outside the way, then I’ll come pick you up! Interested? Let’s talk! like the diet plan lol just what i need Come on Roy! I have popcorn too 😂

Sounds fun! I'm sure you will find a good fit.
ETA- I think you are spot on with getting these adventures done now instead of waiting. I'm too decrepit now to do anything and wish I had had my rock adventures in my younger years.
My husband an I are 19yrs apart an what I’ve witnessed in the last year is, his agility has decreased, he gets tired quicker, bouncing back from injuries aren’t as quick. That alerts me to: Do it today, don’t wait.

*cough* when? ETA: what kinda dog? Yappy? (getting the important stuff out of the way) This is Emy... she’s not yappy nor does she shed. She’s a huge eater though so Don’t fall for her sweet eyes and trickery! We’ll have to ask Tony ( catmandewe) when. Whenever the cookout will be!
