spectacular wigglin Agree w/Bob, in need of cool air. Was in the high 70s maybe low 80s and there was sweat dripping off the rocks , mine anyway . Can't seem to settle for a reasonable steady temp , either way hot or sweatshirt cool . Crazy weather , must be global warming .

Beautiful! some days I hate Florida... but get back to me when it's -10° up there! When it gets up to almost -10 for the high temp I wonder why I'm not in Florida

Some friends of ours were up visiting the past week so we took them up to Lake Superior for the day yesterday . Same beech and rocks as my last thread so I didn't take the camera out . On the way home we decided to show them a waterfall we went to a few times in the past . Just a small on but lots of water . Wren Falls is the name of it , only about 10 feet wide and drops about the same . Anyway , thought I would share a couple pics . We didn't crawl down the almost vertical 50 feet for a close up this time , From downstream a bit , And looking downstream farther , we didn't venture farther this time around but it is really cool scenery downstream , Now offering guided tours , just kidding but we have been to a bunch of waterfalls . Thanks for looking

For a pocket camera that takes real good pictures, I like my Canon powershot A590 is, real cheap on ebay these days. it is 8 megapixels. I also have powershot SD750 this picture was taken with the 590 and reduced in size to post on hee. is 7.1 megapixels. Thanks . I have one from the powershot series on my list of possibles , don't remember which one . I will look at the 590

I very rarely ever have my phone with me , I like being disconnected . Heck , my phone is so old it doesn't even have a camera . Wow, that is an old phone. I generally have to stay connected because my mom is getting older and I want to be available in case she needs me. Understand completely , my Mom is getting older too . I check in every day , phone or stop in . Went back up to the lake today , weather and water conditions were great like last weekend so I never got the camera out . Went to another waterfall on the way home and got a couple pics though .

Lots of factors. No decision shopping for the last P+S. After three failed from the elements - sand - water or impact I got the TG-4. 7 foot drop rating, water proof, sealed trap doors, internal zoom. Not much zoom because it does not protrude out of the frame. I was looking at that one , don't remember what the price tag reads , but with most cameras you do get what ya pay for . Not impressed with a lot of photos from those super zooms anyway , but haven't seen huge amounts of pics from them , could be operator error . I am in no hurry so will keep looking and comparing . From what I am seeing for practical features , thinking an entry level DSLR might be more suitable for my uses . Like I mentioned , no rush to get the wrong hardware .

Looks like you had good weather for the lake walk . Great Sand Bay in the Keweenaw is usually all sand beach so we never stop . Two years ago we drove by and it was nothing but rocks , spent better part of the day there .

Have to get an easier to carry camera for times like that . I'm looking , but kinda fussy about features on the camera . I use my cell phone to take pictures most of the time because I can't decide on a camera to buy. Even then I forget to take pictures when the rock fever takes over...lol. I very rarely ever have my phone with me , I like being disconnected . Heck , my phone is so old it doesn't even have a camera .

Was our first trip up on Sunday this year and I got all rock crazed and said to heck with the pictures . I can understand that, I've done it myself on a few trips. Have to get an easier to carry camera for times like that . I'm looking , but kinda fussy about features on the camera .

Very nice . Could you make me a cereal bowl out of jaspelite , I have the rock . I could, but I won't. You'd break your kitchen counter with a rock that heavy. Just kidding , but it sure would make a nice bowl . Very good job you did on that .
