I also like all three. You can't go wrong when someone loves your work. Your daughter's Plasma cab has a Fall scene with trees shedding leaves along a river bank, while the river carries leaves and vegetation down and to the left.
I haven't yet cut any of my East Java Plume. After seeing yours I'm really motivated now.
As for the 3rd cab, well, "We're not on the ground, Toto!"

Oooohh, I agree with Mike, Victor. I think your first one would be a great entry in the contest. I see Mike's cat. And the cat is staring at a crow, while crow stares right back! That cab is a winner!
I really like the patterns in your first agate, too.

Well done! Although I like the first one, I have to say, I like the willow creek even more.
Thanks, Tela.

Opalpyrexia, the magneprase made a really interesting stone that is not only well cut but shows color designs not present in the normal material. Hope you have more of this material! Thank you, Victor. I have one high-grade slab left. There's one eBay seller with a few available. Other than eBay, this Australian seller, who may have been the original source, has a few slabs remaining: GemstoneGeeks

Thanks, mohs, and for the link. It's been a while since I saw the pillars image and I agree.
Those are beautiful! I love that Magneprase! The Owyhee looks like Atlas holding a galaxy on his shoulders.
Thanks, Brian. Thanks for the that comparison, too.
Beautiful cabs, Gary! The Magneprase is stunning.
Thank you, Robin.

Gary, that Magneprase is stunning! Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is that more of an egg shape versus true oval? To me, that Owyhee looks like a picture I saw in one of my books on space I had as a kid...like some amazing Nebula...
Thank you, Jason.
The magneprase is an oval, but I think that its those patterns that are causing you to question the shape. Sometimes when I get into the higher grits I start to question the symmetry or shape of a cab. Often I think it's due to strong patterns tricking the eye.
There is one spot that is not an illusion. The magnesite is softer than the chrysoprase/chalcedony, and now I see a very, very slight discontinuity of the shape just to the left of the top.

1. Magneprase — At least that's what I think it is based on the Magneprase I have and some online photos. In addition to the strong diagonal movement, I like its range of color, values and features to appreciate. (36 x 24 x 6 mm) 2. Owyhee — I am very pleased with this one. It appeared in a slab from unremarkable rough. I think it looks like some sort of fantasy or science fiction image. It was going to be rectangular but an inclusion appeared in a gap on one corner. (29 x 19 x 6 mm) 3. Willow Creek — I couldn't wait to cut this with its parallel lines that wrap around a clear quartz window. When I was finished I was concerned about the crack that winds around the window with a couple of tiny vugs. Was it on the slab's surface?? Did cutting cause it?? I can't remember now. Well, there's blurry black where the crack crosses the parallel lines, almost as if the crack caused some seepage. So I'm pretty sure that it must have been present in the slab. (39 x 31 x 6 mm)
