Just to clarify "is there any camping". Desert Gardens where the rough and "rough rockers" sell is an RV park. So you can be Catmandewe's neighbor if want. It sweet to walk out of your rig and stroll the lines before the crowds or after your nap. Dogs too seem to be permitted. When you see the Q, you will understand. ' Thanks Which Desert Gardens is it? From Googling it looks like there is Two?

TheRock you should make the trip at least once to experience it. It's loads of fun and there are more rocks than you can shake a stick at! If not now, when? BO want's to know if there are gonna be any other Puhee's out there for him to play with? He goes everywhere with us, as He is MaryJanes Service Dog, and is so well behaved and is a perfect Gentleman no matter where we are at Church, Restaurant, he just sits and lays down next to Momma and just looks around. He does not chase or bark at other animals he thinks he's a Human. We get compliments on him wherever we go.

Oh wow! Looks like we're both working with the corn cob method - I just posted my experience with corn cob in the rotary tumbler in the tutorial thread. I really enjoy seeing your experience in the vibe as well. I am really, really enjoying this dry process and it's encouraging me to work with alot of softer stones that I'd normally be really hesitant to try Yep, I just looked at your video and looks like you have it going on! I love it when a plan comes together.

I ran across this and was gonna ask about if anyone knows about Campgrounds in the area, and did a MapQuest and WOW 1984 miles From Niles, Mi to Quartsite, Az Y I K E S! That's a whole bunch "O" drivin! Are you considering making the drive? If so, will you be pulling anything? It would be a great excuse to escape your winter for a bit. I think melhill1659 made the drive last year from northeast Missouri and pulled a tent trailer. Not sure, though, as we had to cancel and couldn't make it. A few folks from RTH boondock in the local desert lands, some will motel, though rooms in the area are somewhat sparse and can be expensive. There are RV parks in the area - just remember it's snowbird time and it looks like it gets busy. We did the motel thing when we went. If we can make it this year, we'll do the same. Maybe some of the boondockers like Tommy , NRG , or orrum will jump in with advice. Well I was considering it. MJ has been complaining for the past few years since retirement we haven't went to many places. And there really is nothing holding us back other than motivation to get moving. It will cost a $1000.00 in fuel there and back. Plus camping and food and stuff Id figure it to be a $3000.00 trip.

Is it possible the additional noise is coming from resonance? Any wood, regardless of how securely anchored, will have some resonance. Might be worth investigating, but seems to me that all else being equal a lot-o on a wood bench will always be louder than one on a concrete floor? Yes I think that it is resonance, Should not have deck screwed the benches to the wall where the LOT"O" was going to sit. All I can say is when I first put them on the bench I caught them both in the nick of time, cause they both were fixing to walk away and damn near walked off the bench. I was SHOCKED when I got the Thumler Ultra Vibes on how much quieter they were, and how they just sat on their rubber feet and don't move a lick. I had problems with one of my Lot"O"s Breaking a weld joint on the frame and sent Tom Stockwell from belt the owner of LOT"O" Pictures of how I mounted them, and he said the Instillation was Text Book. Maybe mine Vibrates More than normal? I don't know other than theyn but they both work good and have polished alot of stones.

The Guy on the Video Recommends it too, Did you clean with anything else or just that stuff? I ordered a Liter of it from His Glass works thats where I got the HXTAL from. The slabs were rinsed in water with a little bit of dish soap. Thanks.

I have used A-1100 Silane to clean, then hxtal to bond stone to stone with great results. There are three pieces of stone in the picture, the bottom two were bonded together then cut, ground and polished. Bonded surface was cleaned --no sanding. The Guy on the Video Recommends it too, Did you clean with anything else or just that stuff? I ordered a Liter of it from His Glass works thats where I got the HXTAL from.

Agree with Tela -- Acetone and then alcohol and 220. Just remember that Hxtal takes a long time to cure -- about a week. I was gonna add a light on it they say about 100 to 120 deg will cure it good enough for a belt buckle in a couple days. Her show is next Sat so should be ok by then.

TheRock PPE = personal protective equipment 👍 Gloves, safety eyewear & proper ventilation at the least with acetone. Thanks, Yep that's what 5 years of retirement from the County will do for ya. I can't count the times I sat in Supervisory Training in Miosha Classes. See how quickly I forget that stuff. Old Farts syndrome sets in fast and ya get dumber than a BOX OF ROCK'S no Pun Intended!

I would use acetone and then alcohol. I have used it. If I remember right, I used alcohol. I would go with 220 as well. Sounds good I have both out in garage.
