Got a AR12 its averaging 22 to 24 rpm.ive read the book over and can't find know where what its supposed to be. Question 2 barrel weighs little over 3pounds does this mean I can put up to 9 pounds of material in the Barrel? Thanks in advance!! I don't know the specs on your tumbler, as I'm a Lortone guy. That said, a Lortone 12 pound barrel turns at about 30-31 RPMs. I'd call Thumlers if you have questions about how your tumbler should be turning. Frankly, I wouldn't worry about how much material you put in your barrel as it relates to stated weight. It's my opinion only, but I don't care about weight. I just look to load by volume. I typically load 2/3 to 3/4 full when loading with rocks. That seems to be the standard in most barrel loading instructions. That's just me. I will definitely buy lorotone next time I've called the manufacture and emailed them no response yet.but thanks

) and start typing away. Not just a newby problem, seems to afflict even some long term RTHlings. that right?
Not quite right, lol. I see the BBCode I pasted was not protected by putting it into parenthesis. So you didn't see what I was trying to show you. Let's try it again. Click Quote on the thread you wish to quote. Then click on BBCode below. The screen will turn white, showing only the BBCode. Place your cursor below the very last thing in the post you are quoting. It will look like this [ /quote ] - minus the spaces.
Now click on Preview, the screen will turn blue, and your cursor will now be below the thread you are quoting. Start typing. I hope this is clear now.
[/quote] I'm a little slow maybe this is right lol

Just a heads up... I've noticed that a lot of new members have issues with putting their replies outside of quoted material. Could be some other ways around this, but I have found that when you qoute someone and want to type below that, click on "BBCode" directly below this box. You can then put the cursor below the last ( ) and start typing away. Not just a newby problem, seems to afflict even some long term RTHlings. [/quote] that right?

Those turned out very nicely. Are those native to your area, or were the rocks brought in? I'm assuming native

Nice job on the rocks, especially for a first go at it. Any chance on trading driveways? Lol

I had to zoom in and look again. Seriously great job. I’m assuming the majority of them are some type of quartz. You did a great job getting rid of all the fracture lines, pits and such. Out of curiosity how long did you roll them in the coarse/first stage? 2weeks 60/90 then 7 days on other 3

I slowed down a bit this year but did manage to keep some barrels going most of the time. Just handful in this batch but some nice agates in the mix. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Dang half moons. Just one rock got them out of the whole batch. No rhyme nor reason. 9. 10. This is a repaired tumble. It was finished a couple weeks ago but when it was done a couple flaws popped up. Ground them off and tried again. This is common practice. Here is the same rock from before showing the imperfections. Thanks for looking Chuck how do we post pics? those rocks are absolutely Beautiful hope I can get mine to come out that good
