Who remembers Lite Brite? The new ones are different than the old ones. For some reason I drove a couple miles off the main road to a garage sale yesterday. Found this for $1.00. A complete 1967 Lite Brite. Everything was in the box and then some. The box has smoke damage. Instructions included. A pile of templates, most unused. An advertising sheet for additional templates. 8 boxes of pegs. Originally the peg boxes were this white color. They were later changed to clear. I found the side protectors that held the top mesh in place in two of the peg boxes. The foam grabbers that were to be used to remove the pegs from the screen are at the bottom. I also found this in the bottom of the box. Plugged it in when I got home and it works! I remember having a Lite Brite at the top of my Christmas list in 1967. Unfortunately, Santa did not bring me one. My cousin received one. When we were at their place, I played with hers. That was the only thing I bought at the garage sale, but the trip was well worth it. Hope this brought back some fond memories.

Nice. I didn't get a Light Brite for Christmas, but I did get a shotgun.

So man of the old toys were so much more fun. They required you to use your hands and more of your imagination compared to many of today's toys.
