Hello, I was told tonight that this rock is a dinosaur bone. I have no clue if it is or not. I thought it looked good, so I shined it up a little. Is this dinosaur bone? Eccman

I would say that it's not bone because the cell structure does not look right to my eye. Do you know where it came from? If it's from the Utah-Colorado border area the odds are better that it's dino bone. Here's some bone from my collection to compare with.

It was either in the Las Vegas area in the desert or from the rocks in my yard. This is why this forum is good to get help to confirm what other good intentioned people tell you might be wrong. Sadly no, that does not appear to be dinosaur bone. Still pretty though.
