Those really are astounding! The colors work so well together! I'm assuming that's a "scorch" technique on the setting to get the metal to change color like that. I've done that with my dops...unintentionally when I'm torching them...but they do get the color change similar to that.

Those are awesome! Funny, I was watching a couple of videos on torch painting this morning.

I LOVE these! The metal reminds of anodized titanium. Everything works so well together and yet the chrysoprase still pops!

Dang, had me fooled! You did a great job with the LOS. I've never seen the LOS react like that. That's wicked cool!!

Very cool! Do you add any coating to protect the finish and make it last longer?

I've never seen the LOS react like that. That's wicked cool!! I have no answer to why I’m getting the colors, but I’m enjoying the outcome lol! Some kind of star alignment sciencey thing must be happening. 👍

Those are beautiful. I wonder if something in the water contributed to the LOS reaction?

The colors are a perfect match for the stones.
Nicely & neatly done.
I've seen the colors like that with LOS when you add ammonia to the LOS.
I've also seen LOS darken over time, so you might want to seal it with at least a wax, IMHO.

LOS will cause color change in this order: yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, teal and black. Colors depend on a number of things, including the composition of the LOS, strength of the mixture, type of water used, length of time exposed, type of metal, and temperature of the water. I'm assuming alignment of the stars is also in there somewhere.

Those are beautiful. I wonder if something in the water contributed to the LOS reaction? My water is filtered pretty well, but maybe the ph is playing a role. Other factors are my silver alloy being 95%. The color change within the texture makes me think the density variation between the areas that got hammered has something to do with it. Ooohh, they are silver. I was thinking they were copper. I’ve gotten similar colors on copper using flame and as far as I know they have aged well. I’ll need to check as they were also gifted. I think I put Renaissance Wax on if I remember right. Very interesting. It’ll be fun to see if you do more of this finish.

Wowza the color combination on those look otherworldly! I think there is some special magic going on with your silversmithing technique and LOS process, whatever it is it's producing some awesome results. The finish on the silver and the colors of the cabs really make it pop!
