The Something Special from Wisconsin™ (SSfW) program, administered by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, has helped its members stand out on grocery store shelves and consumers connect with genuine Wisconsin products since 1983.
SSfW members are local producers of all shapes and sizes, certifying that at least 50% of a product's ingredients, production, or processing is from or completed in Wisconsin. The recognizable red and yellow program logo provides a quick and reliable way for consumers to identify high-quality member products at grocery stores, retail outlets, farmers' markets, and restaurants throughout the state. Whether it is locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally, the logo brings recognition and credibility to the product and builds on Wisconsin’s reputation for providing quality products.
Something Special from Wisconsin members receive exclusive benefits including use of the recognizable trademark on their products, access to member-only events, educational webinars, and resources, and additional publicity in program marketing activities including a business profile on the SSfW website. Member companies are also featured throughout the year in numerous media stories and on social media.
Gross annual sales $0 - $10,000 = $10 Annual Membership.
Not for Profits receive free membership.
To me this program is well worth the cost.
They also host several Member Markets throughout the year. In order to sell, you must be a SSfW member. The vendor cost is very reasonable, say $25.00 for a 2 day show.
The new member kit was nice.
It included a couple of banners, some write/wipe signs, hang tags, stickers, 20+ pins and membership certificate.
I need to update my member profile on their web page.
Just received more stickers, which I will be using next week.
Does anyone else have a similar program?
If so, are you a member?
Thanks.
