You may be able to save yourself a bunch of money by visiting RTH's DIY section. Lots of tumblers and cabinets.

I looked at the feedback on this seller. Did you? I would NEVER buy anything from that seller.

Hey Maple! Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! I'll second what Tela recommended...save some money (and potential heartache by looking at the feedback for that seller) and check out the DIY section. There's several options shown in there.

It did seem sketchy, I don't have much experience with ebay tbh. Before that, I'd found some other questionable posts selling Rebel 17 tumblers for about $100 less than I bought mine for on Kingsley North. This looks too good to be true too: www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3373362309574699/

I can put 3 15lb barrels + a skinny 6lb on this. Currently it's rolling 2 15lb barrels and a 40lb on a 1/4 HP motor with no problems.

I would love to make something like this, did you use plans from the DIY section, or do you have a post about what you did? I would love to have that many tumblers rolling at once, I've already got about 200 lbs of rocks from maybe 3 months of collecting...Thanks for sharing!

I figured up the length I needed to fit the barrels, fit the bearings and have room for the pulleys. I already had the motor. The pulleys took a little tinkering but it'll roll 100+ lbs of barrels from a dead stop.

brybry is that 3/4" shaft? 4 pillow blocks 2 steel shafts at the length needed. 4 pulleys, sizes dependent on barrel size and shaft diameter 2 belts to fit application A base to hold it all, can vary to fit location and materials available. 1 electric motor with switch and power cord, generally 1/4hp or less, depending on rolling load and what you can find Motor and wiring are the part where skills are important, you really want something that won't get hot and start a fire from running 24/7. I always recommend the advice or help of someone with electrical experience when sorting this out if it's new to you. If you're running it inside your living space noise might be an issue too.

brybry We haven’t run our tumbler in years. Have a similar set up to you but it just holds two of those 15 pound barrels and the same type you show there with the flat sides (octagon maybe?), haven’t counted. Anyway one problem we had was the rubber coating on the rods would wear or shred or even sort of melt off. What do you use on your rods for grip and how often do you wear through it?

I have to replace mine. Same problem, it shreds or grinds off.

I mean honestly, dont really need plans for something as simple as a tumbler, Unless they tell you what size pully you need to slow down the 1725 rpm 3/4 Hp motor you have sitting in the garage for free and you really cant figure out how big the pully needs to be to slow down the speed enough for a tumbler, oh wait that might just be a Me problem lol.
But really its pretty simple 2 bars, 4 bearings a belt and a couple pullys and ya its not complex.

So as it turned out, the Facebook posting was a scam, several others posted that they were scammed a week after I ordered as well. Purchase protection didn't do anything because the seller gave me a tracking number and it was delivered (it was clearly not sent in good faith: The shipping weight was 10 lbs and the tumbler was 24lbs, the address they sent it to was not under my name and didn't list my address, and it was listed as signed by England at the front desk...and I live in a house). Apparently that means Facebook/Meta/Marketplace takes no liability in the matter, it's all up to the delivery company, but like...the package was not correct to begin with. The seller admitted to a mistake and offered a refund, then denied it, and Facebook blocked me from being able to do anything about it because it was listed as resolved. I filed a report with UPS, PayPal, and my credit card company which all took about 4-5 hours, so unfortunately it was very much TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
TLDR: Don't buy tumblers from Facebook Marketplace, there's some pretty easy exploits that makes their Purchase Protect worthless. Guess I'll be ordering at full price from Rockshed or Kingsley North...
