Let the oil sit without turning the saw on for a day or two to let as much sludge settle as possible. Pump off the top layer of cleaner oil into a bucket without disturbing the sludge. Then pump out as much of the dirty sludge/oil as will pass through the pump and filter it through a brown paper bag. Then dump enough cat litter into the reservoir to soak up the thicker rock sludge oil and scoop out and throw away the dirty thick dirty litter/sludge. Then wipe out and clean up the inside of the saw reservoir with a terrycloth rag. And your ready to add clean oil and start slabbing again!

If the oil on top of the sludge looks clean, just scrape out the sludge on the bottom with a putty knife.
Some people use old shop vacs to suck it out, I have never tried it.
Good luck.

If there’s still no sign of a drain after you’ve cleaned it out and you’d like to simplify the next cleanout, install a drain before you refill.

I got hair brain idea Not going to help w/ the presnt situation And it may already have been manufactured
Have they made a saw with slant bottom w/ a drain plug? Well not to slanted cause you want the blade to stay bathed
Perhaps with attachable bag system to filter the oil?
I used to operate a Vollmer CNC Saw Sharpener It had a large pullout wheeled drawer that held the pumped flood coolant Think it was 10 gallon. Lots.
Emptying that tub was a problem. With all that fine carbide gunk in it.
Came up with the brilliant idea to drill a drain plug in the bottom of the drawer , We even made a ramp to push the drawer on up on for easier disposal into 1/2 drum with a filter. We didn’t reuse the coolant tho
Anyway an old idea. Wonder if some one makes that setup?
If not= credit mohs w/ the royalties Or at least a gneiss rock
I think Vollemer as even incorporated the idea Butte do they recognize the original mohs ? No
mostly

As I venture deeper into the cut
wonder if anyone as ever tried flood coolant idea?
know it would be tricky compared to the saw blade always bathed in oil
Yet a flood coolants system would greatly reduce the clean up mess
the vid towards the end show the Vollmer flood coolant system
