Hey RickB What do you think of this shard of basalt ? I found it on a mole hill in a meadow above the beach Dule, that blade has been worked pretty good from what I can see. Not positive what it would have been used for but the edges have a nicely knapped cutting edge so a good chance it was a knife. Some basalts are very knappable and were used. It will take a nice sharp edge. Great find.

It sure looks like it was worked by human to me. The knapped edges are so equidistant between the serrations that it implies deliberate human manipulation. Nice find.
