I just mentioned you last night. Our cheap Amazon shoe horn is now shaped like one of those tennis ball launchers for dogs. Hmm, maybe we should get a puppy.🤔 Fun to see that you are getting more skilled.👍

I ruined a couple then gave up for a while. I recently figured out what I was doing wrong. They’re one of my next challenges. Hopefully I learned from my failures.

Somehow I missed seeing this thread since I commented in Feb! Not sure how that happened as much as I'm in the forum. Your work is really looking good. Started off pretty darn good and then improved rapidly. Nice stuff!

I accidentally logged into my other flickr account, and thought it might be fun to share with you some of my old hobbies: I was into cross stitching about 20 years ago. Did a lot lot lot of cross-stitching. At the end I felt this hobby was too hard on my eyes and necks. Here are some of my original designs that I had someone else finish the stitching for me: An iPad pouch for my very first and the first-generation iPad. After I came to the United States, I fell in love with LEGO. I made a model for my apartment home: It was a multiple year project, and I was relieved to finish it before we moved out. Some close-up details: Kitchen area My son's bedroom. I started building this room when he needed a crib and diaper-changing table and barely finished it before all these were gone. Master bedroom. On the desk was this apartment model that I was working on. The shelf facing the bed were full of LEGO boxes (and will be replaced by rock boxes in the near future I guess...) When I looked at these pictures, I felt I should pick some of my old hobbies up. I still enjoy looking at them. Well, except that I have a 12lb barrel to wash...

RC cars. I custom build them and have a blast with the hobby. Since early 2020 I’ve built a dozen or so, from 5lb, 3s cars to 15lb, 6s cars, and have 8 left. It gave us something to do during the pandemic (my wife even got into it a bit) and replaced a bit of what I miss not being able to mountain bike any more due to neck injury. Also gives me something to fiddle with which reduces stress and seriously challenges my mental and mechanical skills. I’ve learned so much, from soldering to small electrics and so much. Keeps my reactions sharp as well and best of all, I can’t really hurt myself doing it. Not much at least. The kid and I even have a box of 6 small cars we’ve built up over time that she uses to teach other kids how to drive at the park. After several years of this she’s developed some serious teaching (and driving) skill. I love it
