Back when I was younger (2012 or so) I began going on collecting trips across the country. I didn't know what I liked, what I would find, or what was or was not worth collecting. I followed the books and fought that battle solely. One of the spots I went to was an opal spot. I found it and naturally, as most inexperienced collectors do, I kept EVERYTHING. The other day I noticed a bucket labeled "opal". So I opened it. . . . . . . NOT IMPRESSED. . . What are the chances that anyone out there would want it?
I have my doubts.

Did you post pictures? There's nothing in the above.

vegasjames posts some "common opal" that looks pretty nice. Curious to see what yours is like.

Common opal can be very pretty. In fact, I generally prefer common opal to a lot of the precious opal due to the much wider variety of colors and patterns found on common opals. Although, some can be bland as well such as the white common opal.
Post some pics, someone may be interested.
