My granddaughter graduated William & Mary!!! She now has a bachelors in Science. She has been studying psychology for a future in law. She wants to be an advocate for people and children with disabilities. She has done a lot of volunteer work and internships in the field and is now working in a legal firm in DC for the summer before law school.
I thought this day would never get here! But, we still have the big party on Sat to conclude the festivities.

That is spectacular news! I'm so happy for her...and for you! You've got to be beaming from ear to ear! *By the way, I read it as she had been studying psychology for a future "in-law"...which is TOTALLY different...but I was thinking it would come in handy when she gets married! LOL

Congrats to both of you. I can remember when you posted about her first attending W&M, and that seemed not too long ago. Time flies. PS: I also read your post the same way as jasoninsd. Must be a guy thing.

she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Education with a Concentration in Policy & Equity.
The policy and equity part is the federal policies that SHOULD help kids with disabilities in school but very often do not.
Yes, she is gorgeous, but there's more going on in her brain and thankfully she knows that. She's not a stuck up prima donna. I wanted to post some of her graduating pictures that she had taken, but they looked more like modeling pictures and not school pictures. The camera loves her. But she is real petite- maybe 5'4". So, any modeling is out of the question.

Best wishes to your granddaughter. There is a great need for what she eventually wants to do. I don't know if you or anyone remembers, but we had a hard time with her brother in school. All they wanted to do was to send him to the "bad kids" school. He wasn't bad. If they had tested him- as they should have- they would have known he needed help as an autistic student. I'm still angry about that and so is my granddaughter, which is why she chose this field- for her brother.

Congratulations and best wishes for her bright future ahead. Thank you, Diane. I'm hoping and praying she stays on track. LOL! Don't need no boy sidetracking her.

Congratulations to your smart and lovely granddaughter, (and to you) proud grandmother! That she wants to advocate for adults and children with disabilities shows that she's clearly a very caring and good person. Good for her!!
